The value of a home inspection is often over-looked by home buyers, but it is important to note how crucial having a great home inspector on your team is.
Matthew discusses the importance of finding a knowledgeable and licensed home inspector and what exactly the role of a home inspector is in the purchase of a home.
Having been in business for 15 years and over 6000 home inspections under his belt, Matthew is a fountain of knowledge for home buyers. In our long-time work with Matthew we have found his thoroughness and extensive knowledge help many home buyers on knowing what exactly they are getting themselves into.
A home inspector should give the buyer’s agent a list of any and all issues they have found upon inspecting the home for the agent to review with their clients. Without a home inspection most buyer’s and agents would be unaware of potential pitfalls of any given property, becoming aware gives the buyer additional buying power and most importantly, peace of mind. This allows for further negotiations on purchasing the property, whether that be in asking for a lower sales price or asking for the seller to repair, replace or install broken or missing items.
In addition, a seller may request a home inspection upon listing the property to ensure the best return on their property or investment which can make the listing and selling process much easier.
